I found multiple things interesting about animal
research. The one that stick out the most is how abolitionist and their tactics
to scare researchers from continuing research, by doing things such as
vandalizing their homes and cars. Researchers are not killing these animals out
of hate, they are simply doing these researches and tests to benefit the human
race from diseases also to understand the relationship between brain activity
and behavior. If results are found this can prevent future violence
between humans possibly creating a more peaceful world. Even though there is a
huge debate between using and not using animals for these kinds of research, it
is meaningful for not only humans but animals as well. Some animals carry the
disease called AIDS, if researchers can find a cure for this disease then they
can not only save humans but other animals as well and prevent extinction. Finding
cures can help give more time with loved ones who are sick especially children
that are born with diseases. These innocent kids deserve a chance to live
life not fight for it. I do see the side of where these abolitionist are
coming from but someone has to pay the price, just like our troops who go and
fight for our freedom. Without or armed forces, none of us would have the
freedom that we have today and these me and women pay the price. Nothing comes
free whether we would like to believe that it does it doesn't. These animals
are not dying for nothing, they are dying for a good cause. Nobody can live forever but if we can help find a way to prevent the things that do kill us so
that we may spend the most amount of time with our loved ones as we can.
